The Republican party has been getting a bit cozy with the idiot Tea Bagger movement in their mindless opposition to everything Democratic and Obama. In nurturing their moronic tirade against all things "government" the Tea Baggers are urging their members to NOT complete the census forms!!
The Tea Baggers, in their never ending idiocy in proclaiming the census to be unconstitutional, seem to forget that the taking of the census actually IS enshrined in our Constitution (Article 1, Section 2); and is one of the more simple patriotic acts a citizen could perform.
However, the thought recently dawned on the Republican Party that if masses of their moron minions do not compete their census forms, they will be under counted... possibly resulting in changing the representation in Congress. Yes, you see, census numbers are used to determine the makeup of congressional districts. If a bunch of right wing nut jobs don't compete their census forms, it could be a significant advantage to the Democrats in the halls of congress.
Oops!
The article linked above contains a video of a rather stoic Karl Rove encouraging people to compete and send in their census forms.
I have this very naughty desire to log into several of these Tea Bagger web sites and rant about how filling out the census form will allow the government to implant mind control chips in their brains and make them all divorce their spouses and marry gay people.
For the facts refuting what the conspiracy nuts are saying about the census, check out this video put out by FactCheck.org.

Frankly, I think this is a brilliant idea!!!!! I'm ostensibly going to be working for the census visiting those poor demented souls who dign't send it back. I will let y'all know what the idiots have to say. I hope I can keep a straight face.
And yeah, I'm only doing it because I need the bucks.
Gotta love it. "My" congressperson, Ms. Bachmann, has told her crowd not to send in the census. She's also supposedly and attorney. Our state is likely to lose a congressional seat if there is a large number who don't fill them out. I am almost willing to see that, as long as she is the one to go.
They could always give the government false information. The women could lie about their bra size and cause the government computers to explode with tit envy.
I sent mine in. I crossed out "Caucasian" and put in "Flaming Liberal" and said there were twelve more just like me in my house. Let someone come check. We'll pelt them with arugula.
I think you have a great idea. But how can one infiltrate the Teabaggers’ blogs I wonder. Although if I had to read a blog from one of these people (if they can write) it would give me nightmares later on that night.
Kay Well, that presents some opportunities *wink wink nudge nudge*. I am sure you will do the right thing!
Always From what you said Bachmann is in bed with Palin (well, not literally in bed)... damn, it is all about imagery, isn't it.
Bananas Unfortunately we already have extensive statistics about bra AND belly size... we Americans are a overfed and under used. For the first time in history, our life expectancy has declined.
Murr I added "flaming" to my draft card back in the '70's... it seemed to just attract MORE attention.
Vagabonde Infiltrating the TeaBaggers is easy; come disguised as an FBI agent - crew cut, clean shaven, drop a few phrases like "fair and balanced", they will usher me within their ranks with patriotic fervor.
Didn't get you out of the draft, though, did it?
Murr Actually I avoided being drafted; my student deferment kept the draft board busy until the Vietnam war started to wind down.
They are stumbling all over each other lately, aren't they? I don't think anyone should tell them how completing the census would actually possibly help them.
I think that mind control chip idea is pure gold -- run with it! And I love Murr's idea of a 'flaming liberal' category.
I vote Democrat, but I always mark 'other' whenever possible, for whatever category, be it gender or race. I hate being pinned down to a definition and I treasure my otherness.
TechnoBabe No fear of cluing these rubes in, these folks don't want FACTS which might cloud their thinking. They just need FOX to do their thinking for them.
Mary One of my buddies registered Republican so he could vote for the worst of their nut-cases in the primaries; thereby (the strategy goes) pitting their worst candidate up against the Dems. But I think he is over that now; his voter registration more aligned with how he actually votes.
i completed my census form TWICE.
Kara Excellent... I am dying to know what you selected for the "ethnicity" question.
Couldn't we carve out part of, say, Minnesota and send the Tea Party to live there in their own barren little country?
ethnicity = "awesome"
i think it will go over well.
Secret Agent Oh no, Minnesota is a desirable state, I would hate to give any of it to the TeaBaggers... better one of the "lesser" states like Alabama or Mississippi. There's nothing there WE would be interested in.
Kara I think you wanted your comment to respond to MY comment on YOUR blog, am I right?
